Not many of you may know this, but I grew up in the South Florida music scene and was very close with the Pundik family from the ages of 16-19. I was more close with Edra, Daniel, Maureen and Carlos than Jordan, but none the less, I was down in Coral Springs almost every other weekend.
Maureen Pundik (Jordan from New Found Glory’s Mother) always welcomed me into her home with a warm smile, and she has always been an amazing mother, wife, and friend. She was always there for me when I had issued at home that I couldn’t talk to my parents about, and she always gave me words of encouragement throughout my musical career to lift me up when I was down.
On the day after Thanksgiving she was rushed to the hospital due to a sudden, unidentified infection which has severely weakened her heart. She is in critical, yet stable condition but the doctors tell us they are limited and it may be in her best interest to be transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital for a heart transplant.
Their Health Insurance is apparently not covering the procedure, and Heart Transplants are a very delicate, time sensitive, and expensive procedure. I am personally asking every one of you who follow my blog, or my twitter, or look at my page on Facebook to please try to help in some manner. Even the smallest donation of $1 will help to speed up the process and soothe the financial burdens that the Pundik family will be suffering from this situation.
